27 FEBRUARY 2017, PISCES, Supermoon NO, Eclipse YES
Exact time & zodiac degree of this moon | Understanding New Moons |
Two weeks ago, there was an eclipse at the full moon in Leo. Now there’s a solar eclipse at this New Moon in Pisces. Once every 6 months we go through an ‘eclipse season’ when the full moon and new moon are both eclipses in that month. This shakes life up a little, including heart and soul focus. At this New Moon Eclipse in Pisces, the oceans of our inner selves are inspired by great creative insights and/or stirred up by deep personal feelings that might go back lifetimes. The theme of soul mates is strong, whether friends, partners, family etc. Who is a soul mate and who is not? The new moon eclipse aligns with Venus. She’s completely slowed down in Aries about to go retrograde for nearly 6 weeks from 4 March. This brings to mind an image of a woman holding a pair of scissors about to cut a cord. The cord might be a celebratory ribbon – like those around ships about to launch, or the wrapping around a joyous present – or a rope that has bound her that she is cutting herself free from. Even the Pisces symbol itself shows a thread joining two fish. Are you about to free yourself and another from a negative pattern so you can create more beauty, love and pleasure in your connection, or are you about to totally cut free so that you can seek other fish in the sea? What you decide now at the time of the eclipse might need to be reviewed over the coming six-week period when Venus is retro, but even so, now is a time to keep strong with your highest dream felt deep within your soul and not let anyone sabotage your steps toward it.
