2021 Mid-Year Update
My first e-news in nearly 12 months, so hello again! The lockdown phases, in Melbourne and worldwide, are time-warping for many. Globally we’ve just come through 2021’s solstice, the 25 June X-roads and the 30 June EOFY, not to mention the mid-year eclipses. And now it’s the July/August Olympics, held every four years at the global solstice X-roads, soldiering on a year late due to Corona/Covid.
Soul Stopper Solstices
Much tends to timewarp somewhat at the two times the solstices happen, as ‘solstice’ translates to ‘soul standstill’ or ‘sun standstill’. When the sun ‘stands still’ at midsummer/midwinter, life’s turnstiles happen. And we see how celestial time for us human-beings slows down to its slowest from our sun-watching vantage point.
In June/July, we often find ourselves busting a gut to meet life’s turnings and timings (especially as they’re called ‘deadlines’), just like in December, not only with kith and kin but also other soul kindred spirits from life streams, career, community etc.
Drawing Straws and Lots on the Soul Level
Often on the soul level it can feel as if straws are being drawn by the gods/architects of life behind the scenes for countries, clans and individuals alike. The delayed 2020 Olympics are now being held this year 2021 in Tokyo; a chance for the world’s countries to show their non-doping strength – the best of the world’s non-hyper-drug-boosted sportspeople.
The sense of time being warped since the corona/covid worldwide lockdowns brings to mind how time is relative for everyone. For some a minute is super fast, others slow. And so, each part of ourselves, the different layers of self, soul, psyche and spirit run to different experiences of time.
Time is Relative and Clock Time is only part of it
There’s cosmic time, worked out by the movement of the planets, which NASA and other space agencies use to determine launches to space, and that astrologers, astronomers and astrophysicists alike tell time by.
There’s also clock time, or rather ‘atomic time’, and recently I read a BBC article on caesium time, and how the more exact atomic element caesium is now used to measure time. It’s the chemical element of atomic number 55, and a soft, silvery, reactive metal.
Caesium 55 Runs our Clocks
The BBC article, ‘A Brief History of Timekeeping’ (https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29476893), comments on how celestial time is not the one and only measure of time, and that global time decisions are now proportioned toward atomic time.
Will keeping time to caesium clocks keep us any more happy or efficient? We all know of course that celestial time is still there, and naturally we can visually check that the sun rises each day generally around dawn wherever we live (unless extreme corners of the globe), so despite the corona/covid world plague unprecedented times, it’s reassuring to know that the celestial earth sun still rises on time each day!
Breaking News! The Magnetic Pole is now nearly over Siberia
Yet, the breaking news is that more auroras have been appearing in parts of the world than where usually seen: https://earthsky.org/earth/magnetic-north-pole-shift-northern-lights/ This is majorly significant, and is joined to how the magnetic (as opposed to geographic) north pole has radically shifted.
So how we spend our minutes of clock time from 00.00 to 23.59 each day seems to be one of the key challenges of these corona/covid times whilst not neglecting heart’n’soul time. Given the north magnetic pole has shifted, electromagnetic time is also going through change.
A Troubled World in a once every 300-500 years Capricorn Standstill
In this ‘world standstill’ period of following corona/covid rules set by our respective governments, not having choice over how we use time is almost as death-inducing as the pandemic virus, with many losing life, income, relationships, health and wellbeing through being shutdown.
Perhaps by the time Pluto is out of Capricorn and the entire world has tried to do what it can with its contributions and superpowers, visibly and invisibly, to help with the global crisis, we might see where all this is positively headed, but for now, for many, the light of this positivity feels dim. Yet perhaps the positive is closer at hand than it seems.
Pluto captured Saturn ‘lord of time’
Back in the years 2018 to 2020 when Saturn, South Node and Pluto were all in Capricorn, that’s when the orb of the known experience of these corona/covid times really started. Capricorn is of course the Time zodiac sign. Pluto is the only planet now left in Capricorn. In January 2020 when world lockdown was announced, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn were conjunct (once every 300 to 500 years), and Saturn as ‘lord of time’, was reminded of how Pluto trumps Saturn.
We still have another few years until Pluto’s time in Capricorn spanning the 16 years from 2008 to 2024 comes to an end. Pluto enforces a relentless facing of significant knotted complexes, not only locally but galactically, and when in Capricorn, ‘time’ is the conundrum.
Capricorn rules tops of things, including crowns
Capricorn also rules the top of things. And so, crowns (think coronas, coronations, coronets) which are worn on our head tops, on our crown chakras. In many mythological or fairy tale or cosmic images, crowns are also worn on our feet as bracelets around our ankles, or bells on our toes (when doing folk dancing, i.e. cultural land & life gratitude dancing). So let’s not forget that the image of Capricorn is of a sea goat. The ‘mer-creature’ tail of this sea goat takes time all the way back down to our ancient oceanic origins.
’May the Force Be With You’ Time
Celestial time is often felt as the type of time we experience when we ‘go with the flow’ or ‘the force’, which is not normal clock time… it’s felt time, depending on soul-self-spirit necessity, mood and rhythm; whether speedy or sultry. For astrologers, and spiritual timekeepers, this cosmic time is about allowing all parts of self-soul-spirit to be part of the individual we are.
My life reading and study has included comparative classics and literature. From the ancient pov, the way different types of time interact within an individual and their connections comes under both ‘chronos time’ (aka chronological or linear clock time, from the god ‘Kronos’/Saturn,) and ‘kairos time’ (‘right timing’). This makes me think of the kouri statues, the enormous (now mostly only in museums), statues that stared out across the Grecian lands, like the Easter Island statues do now.
When will the Climate Change and Corona Covid Crisis decrease?
Certainly the unprecedented times in which we’re living, the crisis times of Climate Change and Corona Covid, have happened during the zodiac sign Capricorn’s upheaval; Capricorn being all things time related. The Climate Change crisis stepped up when Uranus went into Aries in 2010, and fortunately Uranus is now in Taurus finding its stability before next stepping into a Yang sign, Air, in 2025.
In the BBC article mentioned above, train time is described as revolutionising what we believed time to be and how we keep time. It might be that Pluto in Capricorn is preparing us for the next travel revolution that alters our understanding of time-keeping radically, for already flying cars are on the market, and when Uranus is in air sign Gemini, wow and woah alike!
The Brilliance of the New Upgrade to Humanity and all Earth
Imagine when Pluto enters Aquarius from 2024, the zodiac sign of technological revolution. Already Uranus, Aquarius’s ruling planet, brought the digital age to us general public from 2010 big time when Uranus entered fast-track fire zodiac sign Aries, to push through a new 84-year plan. Chiron is still currently in Aries helping mop up the mess, as well as integrate and support the brilliance of this new upgrade to humanity.
Uranus is the ‘new brilliance insight that comes from outside thinking’, and we are on the cusp now of the A.I. age. Well, we ordinary public are. In many cultures in many buildings in the world, the A.I. age started a long while back. Fortunately Chiron is now a strongly recognised stable ‘celestial body’ that helps bridge and give rights to those who have been disabled, and is a type of ‘transformer’ electrical socket between worlds.
What’s Up Soon in the Stars
Jupiter’s in Fire sign Aries in 2022 and then in Air sign Gemini in 2024. In January 2024, the ‘air’ vibe gets stronger (and weaker) when Pluto enters Aquarius, and the new era will have benefitted from the big think given it by Pluto’s time in Capricorn.
Neptune is the next planet after Uranus. Neptune therefore oversees Uranus, which if left unchecked, could send the planet into a techno nightmare, and in 2025 Neptune moves into Aries. Meantime for many years, Neptune has been in its own sign Pisces (a spiritual behind the scenes big rethink) before launching its next approx 250 year plan in 2025 when it initiates a new cycle in Aries.
Here’s to the New Normal! Time & Symbolism Reviewed
And so August begins, ‘Agosto’ in Italian, ‘Aout’ in French (perhaps the month of throwing A‘out’ the cobwebs of the strains of the mid-year mega-X-roads months!) and in Germany the word for ‘August’ is ‘August’, meaning ‘steady, stable, noble’. So here’s to staying as steady as possible in a world going through tumultuous change.
I hope you get to enjoy watching some Olympics and the incredible world symbolism of sports for signs of how our globe and each of its countries is placed at this time.
Solstice Correlations
I recently formulated this table showing similarities between the June turning point each year, and December turning point.
JUN/JULY | DEC/JAN |
---|---|
21-23 June – midwinter or midsumma – the solstice turnstile | 21-23 Dec – midwinter or midsumma – the solstice turnstile |
25 June – xmas in ‘July’ – midyear X-roads – midyear X-mass (from the Old French ‘masse’ 11th-century – crowds – the sorting of the crossroads of the crowds) | 25 Dec – xmas in Dec – end of the year X-roads (crossroads of the crowds) |
30 June – EOFY – End of Financial Year | 31 December – End of Calendar and Commerce Year |
