Big wheel keeps on turning

As the wheel of life turns, we might sometimes wonder, ‘When is it my turn?’ The Equinoxes (March and September each year) act as reminders that every half year, all comes back to be balanced, weighed and organised afresh. While life does its behind-the-scenes assessment, recalibration and turning this September Equinox, what can we do to check individual balance? Rather than wait for ‘gods’ to dish out turns, free will indicates we are gods of our own lives, and our choices and actions affect what happens next.

The ‘fate effect’

That’s not to dismiss the ‘fate effect’, and one thing we always need to balance is fate and free will. Sometimes we think fate stands in our way when really we just need to get off our butts and do something. Other times we think we can willpower our way through, when fate suddenly stands before us holding a stop sign.

Equinox plus retrogrades

This year’s September Equinox happens among retrogrades, which often bring a ‘pause and prepare’ vibe. Something might be about to return to you that was lost. Something you started long ago might have a chance to finish. The Equinox plus retrogrades increase the sense of there being something in the works finding deeper balance.

The retrograde immersive

Life’s had us in one retrograde after another since early this year. The retrograde immersive continues with Venus now in a pre-Retro shadow and Mars in a post-Retro shadow. In other words, Mars is almost back to where it started before going Retro, while Venus is entering Retro. This means that each of us is individually in a continuing retrograde experience – reviewing, reflecting, retracing, reconnecting, repairing, removing, renovating etc.

Venus and Mars are squaring each other. Life is trying to get us to think outside the square; to notice and engage with different viewpoints. Our collective and individual yin/yang are in a big restructure. In early December, Venus and Mars will be in trine, a much more flowing vibe. Until then, relationships are in flux and much needs adjusting. It’s a time to apply more curiosity and inquiry into those we have connections with.

November’s change on the way

Between now and November, everything is about weighing up, completion and preparation. The retrogrades help with this, plus the energy of the Equinox over the last week of September. Jupiter’s in its last weeks in Scorpio, shifting into Sagittarius on 8 November. Between now and then it’s worth putting more effort into toxicity release, emotionally as well as physically.

Prepare now for November

The Destiny Nodes are on their last legs in Leo/Aquarius, shifting into Cancer/Capricorn on 7 November. Getting clearer on your sense of purpose will help you prepare.
