Assn Professional Astrologers (APA)

The APA is the professional arm of the FAA. After passing exams by the FAA, or set by an equivalent astrology course, it’s possible to apply for membership to the APA. A certain number of hours counselling/consulting training are required, including having been professionally supervised.

A professional and reputable astrology site offering free daily horoscopes, charts and basic astrology explanations. This site is run by Astrodienst in Switzerland and is an excellent resource.

Astrology News Service (ANS)

This website initiative was launched through the combined effort of four key American astrology associations to inform and educate the public about astrology. It provides responses to latest news surges about astrology and helps dispel common myths and misperceptions.

Astro*Synthesis

I received my Diploma in Applied Astrology through Astro*Synthesis. Their focus is on ‘astrology for human development’ with an emphasis on the relationship between astrology, psychology, mythology, the inner world and counselling. There are some great articles by Brian Clark for free download.

Aust Holistic Healers & Counsellors Assn (AHHCA)

The AHHCA is a membership organisation for natural health practitioners who use a range of modalities to holistically treat the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of their clients. Check out the Practitioner Directory for everything from flower essence therapists to hypnotherapists to NLP practitioners to art therapists to colour therapists. All practitioners listed are approved members of the AHHCA.

Cosmic Intelligence Agency (CIA)

The CIA is an innovative group of astrologers with Headquarters in Melbourne and Agents worldwide. Their Mission is to encourage conscious participation with cosmic events; for example intention missions for each of the annual Solstices and Equinoxes. A range of interesting articles and links is available on their website.

A recent initiative of the CIA is ‘2012 Year of Astrology’.

Fed of Australian Astrologers (FAA)

The FAA has state branches that hold regular meetings for both members and non-members. These meetings are fun networking opportunities for anyone interested in astrology. Each branch has its own website and monthly newsletter. The FAA acts as an examination body for astrologers.

Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)

IONs provides information on the latest scientific research into topics such as health and healing; the collective unconscious; parapsychology; subtle energies; death, dying and beyond; and the power of intention. They question exactly what consciousness is, and specialise in exploring both rational and intuitive knowledge in the hope of awakening untapped human potential to create a better world.

Use Nature is a health and lifestyle directory with a vast range of practitioners to choose from. This web resource is a bit like a phone book with multiple categories to search in.

Vic Astrologers Association (VAA)

The Victorian Astrologers Association is a state branch of the FAA (see above). Monthly meetings are held for members and non-members alike on the third Saturday of every month in South Melbourne.
