July’s New Moon happening right now in Leo is preparation for the Leo Total Solar Eclipse in a month’s time. Mars is also in Leo exactly next to the New Moon, jumping with inspiration, but Venus is caught up by Saturn eyeballing her across the zodiac. Imagine Mars and Venus heading off in a lift together toward their exciting destination, but when the lift gets to their floor, only Mars manages to get off. He heads out of the lift assuming Venus is beside him, only to discover the lift doors have shut. Not only is Venus left multitasking appointments, phone calls and checking her newsfeed, but she’s also getting the paperwork together for the experience she and Mars are about to enjoy. She looks up and realises the lift doors have closed yet she’s still doing all the filing, cleaning, organising, tweeting and other arrangements. We each have both Mars and Venus energies inside ourselves. While one part of you rushes ahead this week, it might be that another part is still in the one spot. Even though Venus and Mars are not quite on the same floors, this won’t matter as long as they’re heading toward the same goals. With all the passionate Leo energy about, your life’s dream fulfilment is very important to pay attention to, but Venus knows not to let daily tasks slide or the ship will sink. This might be an uncomfortable mix of priorities – passion versus practicalities – but do your best to fulfil both.
