General Information
A chart reading shows how to capitalise on your unique horoscope dynamic. Often we have competing inner drives that lead to conflict and challenge, but also to the creation of our exciting identities. Many facets of life can be explored through a chart – career, romance, relationships, family, finances, creativity, travel, home and more. An astrology consultation offers knowledge of life cycles and phases, including cosmic timing and offers insight into the best way to thrive while facing life’s inevitable peaks and troughs.
Session Information
You can choose between a 1-hour or 1.5-hour session. A 1.5-hour session is recommended for your first consultation, even if you have had your birth chart done before by another astrologer. For session costs, check out the price list.
The option is available to have the session recorded on tape. Michelle will provide a tape. You will also receive a simple printout of your chart wheel. If you would like a chart printout package containing a computer-generated interpretation of your chart, an extra cost is involved. See written charts for more information.
Birth details
Your date, place and time of birth are needed prior to the consultation. Most hospitals record the time of birth and release this information for a small fee. Even without an accurate birth time, much can still be discovered from a chart. During the consultation, Michelle will let you know which information cannot be gleaned without a birth time.
Forecasting
Most sessions involve some element of forecasting. Even if you are booked in for a birth chart reading, Michelle will still spend a short time explaining some of the major current influences. If you are booked in for a forecasting-focussed session, Michelle will need to refer back to your birth chart as the foundation. This requires discussing your birth chart even in a forecasting session. Transits and progressions are used to assess the current ‘astro weather’ in your life. If you are having a birthday reading, Michelle will also include your solar return chart (this is only possible with an exact birth time).
Major life turning points
It’s not uncommon for people to choose astrology readings during major life turning points. If you are feeling inundated with numerous decisions, conflicting urges and confused pathways, it may not be possible to look at all you wish to cover in the one session. Often people at these major crossroads would benefit from a few astrology sessions in the same way that four sessions are usually recommended in traditional counselling situations for support and direction during crisis times. This is not to say that you must book for four sessions. Michelle will do as much as she can to work within your budget and time possibilities, but please be aware that astrology is not a one-session solution in such circumstances. After your session, it’s recommended that you take time to reflect upon and digest the astrology. You might choose to book a follow-up session to ask further questions or you might let the astrology unfold within as one element of your decision-making process.

Many clients return once every few months, or annually, for astrology updates. Return sessions are negotiated depending on your needs.
