General Information
An astrology reading helps with decisions about love, money, family, career, travel and more, plus taps into the mysteries of karma, soul contracts and destiny. An astrology session gives insight into past, present and future timing, opens doorways to affirming pathways forward and sheds light on life’s inevitable peaks and troughs.
Session Information
The normal session length is 1.5 hours. A 1.5-hour session is especially recommended for your first consultation, even if you have had your birth chart done before by another astrologer. Follow-up sessions can be 1 hour, if the follow-ups are relatively soon after the first session. If you tend to come for yearly updates, then 1.5 hour sessions are more suitable. If you have a lot to talk about or many questions to explore, 1.5 hour sessions are more suitable. For session costs, check out the price list.
Birth details
Your date, place and time of birth are needed prior to the consultation. Most hospitals record the time of birth and release this information for a small fee. Even without an accurate birth time, much can still be discovered from a chart. During the consultation, Michelle will let you know which information cannot be explored without a birth time.
Forecasting
Most sessions involve some element of forecasting. Even if you are booked in for a birth chart reading, Michelle will still spend a short time explaining some of the major current influences. If you are booked in for a forecasting-focussed session, Michelle will need to refer back to your birth chart as the foundation. This requires discussing your birth chart even in a forecasting session. Transits and progressions are used to assess the current ‘astro weather’ in your life. If you are having a birthday reading, Michelle will also include your solar return chart (this is only possible with an exact birth time). Major life turning points
It’s not uncommon for people to choose astrology readings during major life turning points. If you are feeling inundated with numerous decisions, conflicting urges and confused pathways, it may not be possible to look at all you wish to cover in the one session. Michelle will do as much as she can to work within your budget and time frame, and will let you know how many sessions you might benefit from.
Further information
The option is available to have the session recorded on tape or later burnt to CD. You will receive a simple printout of your chart wheel. If you would like a computer-generated interpretation of your chart, see written charts for more information.
After Your Session
During your session Michelle usually recommends relevant references or contacts depending on your needs. The links section of this website also provides interesting follow-up material.
Return sessions are negotiated depending on your needs. Many clients return once every few months, or annually, for astrology updates. Regular sessions are available to explore specific chart dynamics more fully or work through phases of accelerated growth, emotional or other stresses.
