21 MARCH 2017, CAPRICORN
The themes that were activated at the New Moon on 27 Feb are completing now at this waning 3rd Quarter Moon in Capricorn. The New Moon was in Pisces, the zodiac sign to do with soul mates, heart love, compassion toward others, magic and karma. What goes around comes around. We all need the same essential ‘inner self’ basic fuel; love and respect being as necessary as air is to the physical body, or the soul rots away. We all feel the same kind of pain or joy in our hearts when treated certain ways, even if we drug or distract ourselves to pretend or prove we don’t. There are plenty of love substitutes and respect and acknowledgment substitutes, but these only toxify the soul. Many souls have entered this era so damaged by past life toxicity, they now clog up the collective energies as problematically as the piles of non-biodegradable plastics that are killing off wildlife in our oceans. These Pisces themes arise at the time of this Capricorn 3rd quarter Moon. How are we treating ourselves; how are we treating others? The two fish in the Pisces symbol can be exclusive to two people or can represent thousands of people joining together as one, just how it’s possible over the internet these days.
Being in Capricorn, this 3rd quarter moon brings a choice about personal responsibility and noticing how even the tiniest drop of participation in something positive or negative either helps or brings down others, and therefore ourselves. Most people believe that behind-the-scenes thoughts, feelings, attitudes, intentions and energy transmitted are less important than surface behaviour, but what if they were actually more important, as shown by the Pisces archetype? In these times, karma is not only about future lives, it’s about what’s going to happen in our lives tomorrow. What goes around comes around straight away in our high-speed, high-tech 21st century world. Karma can be almost instant, especially in this fast year of the fire element.
This waning 3rd quarter moon in Capricorn encourages us to say ‘no’ to what’s not working, or ‘yes’ where a positive commitment needs to be made. In a week’s time, new energies come in at the New Moon in Aries and fresh starts are possible. The right decision can instantly halt ‘bad karma’, no matter how negative or chronic, even if the negativity goes back many lifetimes. Capricorn helps us see what’s negative and purposefully helps us feel bad if we need to see something we are doing is not on track. It will also help us feel good about what is on track.
The astrology of this 3rd quarter moon shows it’s a powerful time to say goodbye to anything that is on its way to bringing bad karma, and to increase what brings good karma. Genuine (not substitute) love and respect follow immediately, first from within our own beings, then from others who are not sick with toxic attitudes, and eventually from loved ones who also detox from negativity and regression, when we commit to all those things we know we should be doing but keep putting off. ‘Should’ only because they are high priority to our individualised inner truths.
The astrology of this year shows a one-off window of grace, which has the energy of a ‘probationary clean slate’ in the unseen inner levels. The step shown at this 3rd quarter moon in Capricorn is to say ‘no’ to the distractions and sticky webs of background negativity and ‘yes’ to the daily steps to getting done what we deep down know we are meant to be doing to love and respect self and others on genuine life-affirming heart levels.
